A decade of periodontal expertise,
academic rigour, and patient-focused care.
Asst. Prof. Dt. Gülen Kamak (Dr. Öğr. Üyesi) is a periodontology specialist whose career bridges academic teaching and private clinical practice. She holds a PhD in Periodontology and has served in faculty roles at Kırıkkale University Faculty of Dentistry and Ada Kent University Faculty of Dentistry, contributing to the training of new generations of dentists in periodontal diagnosis, surgery and implant-related care.
Her clinical focus covers the full spectrum of periodontology: non-surgical and surgical treatment of gum disease and gingival recession, advanced bone-loss reconstruction including guided bone regeneration (GBR), pre-implant periodontal preparation, and aesthetic gum line corrections such as gummy-smile botox treatment. Cases requiring complex multidisciplinary planning — particularly where periodontal health determines the success of implant or prosthodontic work — are her area of expertise.
Fluent in English at C2 level (CEFR), Dt. Kamak treats international patients at Dentafly Antalya, where she leads all periodontology and implant-related periodontal care. Her care has been reviewed publicly on Trustpilot with consistently high marks for clinical detail and patient communication.
At Dentafly, Dt. Kamak serves a dual role: Periodontology Specialist for cases requiring gum and bone expertise, and Medical Reviewer for every periodontal and implant-related article published on this website. This editorial responsibility ensures patient-facing content meets the same standard of clinical accuracy applied in the treatment chair.
Four periodontal focus areas.
One specialist’s coordinated care.
Periodontal cases require precision and continuity. Dt. Kamak personally leads each focus area below, coordinating multidisciplinary planning with the wider Dentafly team when implants, prosthetics or aesthetics are involved.
Gum Disease & Recession Treatment
Personally led by Dt. Kamak. Non-surgical periodontal therapy, scaling and root planing, treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis, root coverage surgery, and gum graft procedures for receding gums. The foundation of her PhD specialization.
Implantology & Pre-Implant Preparation
Multidisciplinary preparation of the periodontium before implant placement: ridge preservation, soft-tissue conditioning, treatment of peri-implant disease, and coordinated planning with the prosthodontic team to ensure long-term implant stability.
Advanced Bone Loss Reconstruction
Personally performed by Dt. Kamak. Treatment approaches for advanced alveolar bone loss including guided bone regeneration (GBR), guided tissue regeneration (GTR), bone grafting, and regenerative periodontal surgery for cases that would otherwise be deemed inoperable.
Gummy Smile Botox Treatment
Aesthetic correction of excessive gingival display (“gummy smile”) through targeted botulinum toxin applications to the upper lip elevator muscles — a conservative, non-surgical alternative to crown lengthening for suitable cases.

The Effect of Changes in Lower Incisor Inclination on Gingival Recession
The Scientific World Journal · Volume 2015 · Article ID 193206
Peer-reviewed research investigating whether mandibular incisor inclination changes during orthodontic treatment promote the development of labial gingival recessions. Conducted at the Department of Periodontology, University of Kırıkkale Faculty of Dentistry — concluded that orthodontically driven inclination change did not lead to recession in the studied sample.
