Dr. Burak Gökdeniz is a highly experienced prosthodontist with a PhD in Prosthetic Dentistry from Ankara University. With a career spanning over two decades, he has worked in major public institutions including Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry and the Ministry of Health Dental Hospital, as well as in military healthcare services, where he developed a uniquely broad clinical foundation that combines academic rigour with real-world surgical decision-making.
His advanced expertise covers prosthodontics, aesthetic and digital dentistry including CAD/CAM systems, Digital Smile Design, implant-supported restorations, and complex surgical procedures such as sinus lift and bone augmentation. His clinical scope extends to endodontic treatments, laser dentistry, PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) applications, and intravenous sedation techniques for anxious patients.
Fluent in English at C2 level (CEFR), Dr. Gökdeniz has extensive experience with international patients, particularly from the United Kingdom, where Dentafly maintains an aftercare clinic at London NW9 8SN. Beyond clinical practice, he has contributed to dental academia through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.

Complex cases require integrated expertise. Dr. Gökdeniz personally leads prosthodontic, restorative, and digital workflows, while coordinating multidisciplinary cases with the wider Dentafly clinical team.
Prosthodontics
Personally led by Dr. Gökdeniz. Full-mouth restorations, fixed and removable prosthetics, implant-supported bridges, and complex occlusal rehabilitation cases. His PhD specialization area.
Aesthetic & Digital Dentistry
Dr. Gökdeniz directs the digital workflow. CAD/CAM design, Digital Smile Design (DSD), and final prosthetic delivery. Aesthetic case planning coordinated with Dt. Birhan Bacaklılar (E.max veneers) and Dt. Buğra Kaya (smile aesthetics).
Implant Surgery & Augmentation
Dr. Gökdeniz handles prosthetic planning and final restoration. Surgical placement, sinus lift, and complex bone augmentation are performed by our Lead Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Soner Arıkan with prosthetic-driven planning input from Dr. Gökdeniz.
Endodontic Treatment
Personally performed by Dr. Gökdeniz. Microscopic root canal therapy, retreatments, and endodontic management of complex anatomical cases prior to prosthetic restoration.
Laser Dentistry & Periodontology
Dr. Gökdeniz applies laser-assisted soft tissue procedures during prosthetic preparation. Periodontal and peri-implant cases are led by Assoc. Prof. Dt. Gülen Kamak, our Periodontology PhD specialist.
PRF Applications
Dr. Gökdeniz integrates PRF protocols into his restorative cases for accelerated soft-tissue healing around prosthetic margins, in collaboration with Dr. Soner Arıkan for surgical applications.
Sedation Dentistry
For anxious patients and lengthy combined procedures, Dr. Gökdeniz works with our on-site anaesthesiologist and surgical lead Dr. Soner Arıkan to deliver IV conscious sedation safely under hospital-grade monitoring.
International Patient Care
Two decades treating UK and international patients. Dr. Gökdeniz personally reviews each treatment plan; Dt. Merve Sezer Topçu coordinates the UK aftercare programme at our London NW9 8SN clinic.

The Effects of Different Beverages on Fracture Resistance of CAD/CAM Monolithic PEEK and Monolithic Zirconia Crowns

Co-authored research evaluating how cola, coffee and red wine affect the fracture resistance of CAD/CAM polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and monolithic zirconia crowns. The study tested 80 specimens over 12 days at 37 °C, demonstrating that PEEK delivers strong force absorption and represents a viable posterior crown alternative.

Comparison of Stain Effects of Nicotine and Beverages on Different CAD/CAM Materials

Research comparing the discoloration impact of nicotine, coffee and red wine on three CAD/CAM materials (Lava Ultimate resin nanoceramic, CEREC feldspar ceramic, and IPS e.max lithium disilicate). The study found nicotine produces significantly stronger staining than beverages, with implications for smoker patients choosing aesthetic materials.
